- Two weeks work experience at the Guardian Unlimited website (politics.guardian.co.uk)
- Wrote two published articles about the smacking of children (link) and New Labour's 'Big Conversation' (link)
- Gained experience in journalism and working in an office
- Praised in reference as having "a political understanding, interest and knowledge beyond his years, and a willingness to debate ideas and political history which do him credit" as well as "promising writing talent"

2004 - Goldman Sachs Scholar Scheme - Warwick University, UK
- Lead a team in entrepreneurship competition
- Became managing director of 'Stuff'
- Presented business plan in front of a large audience, and answered questions on the spot about the company
- Got into the final round of the competition
Other Activities and Projects
- Attended University College London summer schools two years running, and made a speech during an evening party to celebrate the scheme's expansion
- Wrote a weekly column for Ruberyvillage.co.uk, DomSez, on the issues of the day
- Played Shakespeare in school play 'Time (Un)Limited', Summer Term 2004
- Entered Junior and Intermediate Maths Challenges in three consecutive years, winning Bronze, Silver and 'Best in School' certificates
- Won awards in multiple subjects (including English, Maths, Science, Humanities and ICT) during Years 7 - 10
