It's typical of fans that Outpost Gallifrey stays online when Doctor Who was announced as returning, when Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper were cast, when the Dalek deal was negotiated and after the exciting premiere and huge ratings. Yet it goes down now as thousands panic over Eccleston's decision to do only one series.
Don't panic!
Christopher Eccleston is a brilliant actor who has launched the new series into a fantastic future. We have 12 brand new episodes in this series left to enjoy, plus a 60 minute Christmas Special. And then we get a second series, with a new doctor aided by the magnificent Rose. It's common knowledge that even Tom Baker wound down as his reign went on, Chris will be leaving on a high and will be remembered for his great performance. Yes, I'd have liked to see him do a 2nd series, but please, regeneration has happened before in much more difficult circumstances.
Phew - now I can get back to speculating over the 10th Doctor. David Tennant seems the favourite so far, but in the world of Doctor Who, anything can happen...!

Ah - but he is appearing in the Christmas Special... he's not so much 'leaving in June' since they've finished filming, he just won't return after the Special

If Christopher Eccleston is leaving at June then what's gonna be done about the small problem of his 'action figure' going on sell at Xmas. Wouldnt another doctor already been cast by then so the figures will be out dated?
